PCOS is the abbreviation of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, a hormonal imbalance that affects 1 in 10 women of childbearing age across the world. PCOS is one of the major causes of infertility in women, and it comprises 70% of infertility issues.
The side-effects of PCOS can be troubling and sometimes, even traumatising for women: irregular periods, weight gain, follicular cysts on the ovaries, scalp hair loss, excessive facial hair growth… the list goes on.
While the main causes are not clearly known and can be attributed to everything from lifestyle to genetics, one can manage PCOS with the right diet. Here is a list of simple, easy-to-make drinks for PCOS that don’t require a laundry list of ingredients – or a lot of time in the kitchen!
