How to Prepare?
Ingredients:
- ½ cup Basmati rice
- 1 cup Whey water
- ½ cup Onions (sliced)
- 1 tbsp Tomato (chopped)
- 2 Green chili (chopped)
- 2 tsp Mint (chopped)
- 2 tsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp Garam masala powder
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- Salt According to taste
- Whole Spices
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 Star anise
- 2 Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- ¼ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Black Elaichi
- 5 strands of kesar
Cooking Instructions:
- Wash and soak rice in water for 20 minutes. In a pressure cooker, cook whey water and soaked rice for 3 whistles.
- Heat ghee in a pan add whole spices when aromatic then add sliced onions and green chili; Saute well.
- Add ginger garlic paste to it and saute until the raw smell goes.
- Add chopped mint and coriander to it and saute till they shrink.
- Add chopped tomatoes to it along with all the dry powders and saute well.
- When the tomatoes become mushy, add boiled whey protein rice. Mix them well.
- Serve hot with cucumber raita.
